Looks like we got the safe room finished at a good time. I'm going to need one of the 2nd Amendment-inclined to help me test out how it'll hold up to gunfire. The locks seem to working pretty damn well, Forge. Thanks. And thanks to everyone that helped out.

It seems like every single time there's a thing about mutants on TV I get another call from my mom. I think she's two seconds from coming out here and checking the place out and meeting y'all herself. Especially you, Warren. She said you're cute.

We're in some crazy times right now. I'm looking forward to the day when I can actually use my powers without having to worry about alerting Homeland Security.

So I am gonna be helping teach Noriko how to drive tomorrow. Does anyone else need some help learning how to? I've taught many a teenager how to drive on my truck. I'm a pretty good teacher if I do say so myself and I just did.

I'm beginning to think that this trip might have been a mistake.

On the bright side, I haven't been almost stabbed, so that's one point in it's favor.

So the axe came down on me. I am officially of the unemployed. I should've been looking for a new job earlier, but they kept telling us that we were safe up until the end there. Guess that whole going to school thing is looking more like a possibility now.

I've got some money saved up from the jobs I was working, and thankfully I live pretty cheap. This is gonna turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Things will work out.

Everyone's running around work freaked out because they announced some cuts at the construction company I work for. With the economy the way it is there ain't much construction going on right now. And I ain't been there as long as others so I don't think that I'm gonna make the cut. Given how bad the industry's doing right now I should look for another job even if I do make this round of cuts. It's only a matter of time. Man this sucks.

I think that if I can't find another full-time job I might enroll at a community college in the summer. I had planned on doing that a while ago but I never got around to it. I think it could be fun.
